Petscan Negative!

Friends and Family,

We are very excited and thankful to tell you that Mark's petscan came back negative!!! We give all the honor and glory to God for this result!

We have been praying in faith that God will heal Mark - I will post below some of the scriptures He has given us.

To make a long story short 3 weeks ago Mark had a CT scan which did not look good - there were 3 areas of concern. We agreed to pray that God will heal and we waited to see what the petscan would should.

We went to the oncologist this morning and here is what she told us.

The first area was actually in his lungs and was a bit of pneumonia as a result of the infected port - we also found out that this condition had been life threatening and we praise God again for bringing us through that even when we didn't fully understand the danger Mark was in.

The other two areas are on the liver and they both tested negative on the petscan. One on the right side they are sure in scar tissue from the surgery. One of the left side is a bit small but big enough to test negative. However, to be completely safe they have ordered an MRI be done in two weeks to make completely for certain that this is not a cancerous lesion.

We told our doctor that we know that God has healed him and we were just completed thankful!!

We hope that all of you have a wonderful, wonderful Thanksgiving as I know we will!

We are heading up north to be with my family for the holidays and are very excited about that.

Thank you again for all your prayers - please continue to pray that Mark's body will continue to heal and that no cancer will come back.

With MUCH Thankfulness,

Mark and Lee

Besides reading and studying all the miracles of healing in the gospels where faith was involved the following verses have meant a lot to us.

Isaiah 53:4-5:
4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Hebrews 13:8:
8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Proverbs 4:20-23:
20My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life
Psalm 103
1Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases
Matthew 8:17:
17That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Exodus 15:26:
26And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
Hebrews 11:1:
1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
1 John 4:4:
4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 Peter 2:24:
24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
3 John 1:2:
2Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Romans 10:17:
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Treatment Complete!

It is Friday night, November 20 and Mark completed the treatment out here in Arizona. It was with mixed emotions that we left the clinic today and told everyone there good-bye! The staff was wonderful! They were very caring and attentive and we could not have asked for a better experience.

It was very evident that this was exactly the place where God wanted us to be!

We will spend tomorrow during a little more sightseeing and then head home Saturday night.

Above are some pictures of the clinic and Mark with some of the staff.

From the bottom of our heart we thank all our friends and family who made is possible for us to be here!

Thank you all for your prayers - we ask continued prayer as we travel down this unknown path.

Love to all,

Mark and Lee

Great Week-end and starting 2nd week of treatment

Mark completed his first week of treatment and all went very well - he is feeling very good!

We had a fantastic time with the kids over the week-end going to Olde Town Scottsdale, Sedona and going to the Grand Canyon. It was absolutely spectacular. Mark and the kids had never been out here and I haven't been since I was a teenager. The weather got colder and colder the further north of Phoenix we got.

We started out Sunday morning at the Grand Canyon with the weather being 18 degrees and by the time we got back to Phoenix it was 70!

The boys flew back to Atlanta and Jessica is staying a few more days.

Mark started his second week of treatment - they are doing all they can this week since this is all they will have him for.

We got a huge blessing today - the doctors at the clinic were really trying to get us to try a couple of extra treatments but we turned them down due to the cost. Today they came to Mark and told him that they really felt like he would benefit from one of the treatments and they had talked about it and decided to give it to him complimentary! Praise the Lord! He continues to amaze and take care of us!

Next Monday Mark will have a Pet scan and we will get the results on Tuesday. Please pray for us to have total faith in our Lord no matter what results we may get.

Thank you for your love and care over us!

Mark and Lee

Romans 5:1-5

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Arizona Treatment - Days 3 & 4

Friends and Family,

We have had two great days of treatment at the clinic and the weather has been wonderful.

Mark continues to feel better after getting the port removed.

Last night we ventured into Olde Town Scottsdale and looked around for a bit - it was a lot of fun.

Today after he finished treatment we stopped at one of the mountain parks out in the desert and did a little hiking - it was beautiful sites and great weather - we both really enjoyed it.

Tonight we will pick up all 3 of our kids from the airport - they will be with us through the week-end - we are very excited to see them - especially Jessica since she just got back from Brazil yesterday!

Thanks again for all your prayers - we know God is up to something big!

Love,

Mark and Lee

Arizona Treatment - Day 2

We are at the end of our second day here in sunny Arizona and things went really well!!

We started at 7 a.m. at the local hospital to have Mark's port removed. The procedure went well and they discharged him around noon.

We then drove out to New Hope Medical where they were waiting to give him some treatments all afternoon.

He looks so much better tonight than last - his color is better and he feels really good!

The port is out and they are watching his blood counts as some things were slightly elevated.

We start out in the morning by getting some bloodwork done and then on to another day of treatment.

Please pray for our daughter Jessica as she is traveling back to the states tonight from being in Brazil. She will be traveling all night and arrive in Miami in the morning.

We hope to get some pictures up here tomorrow -

We are praising the Lord for His provision and for a much better day!

As always, thank you for your prayers!!!!!!!!

Much love,

Mark and Lee

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Day 1 Treatment in Arizona

Dear Family and Friends,

I haven't updated our blog in a while and I apologize. Here is what has been going on:

About October 21 Mark started showing some flu-like symptoms and we ended up at the hospital because we could not get his fever down. Our doctor thought that his port might possibly infected but the blood work came back negative and everything looked fine.

The next week he also had fever, headache and shaking again and after those symptoms persisted and he started having difficulty breathing we again ended up in the ER. All the tests they ran seemed to show that everything was fine and so again we went home.

His liver doctor ordered CT scans and tests to make sure everything is OK. We still don't have all the results of all those tests so you can be praying about that.

We had a good trip on Saturday out here to Phoenix, we were totally spoiled sitting in first class! Wow! What a great experience that was!

We made it to our condo just in time to watch Bama play!!! The condominium we are staying at is amazing the view is awesome from the balcony- we are so thankful for this great place to live for two weeks.

We are overflowing with gratitude to all of you who have made this possible for Mark to be here! We have had so much confirmation from the Lord that this is where we are supposed to be and we know He used so many of you to make that possible for us.

Day 1 of treatment didn't go exactly as we had thought. We got to the treatment center and were both very pleased with everything and everyone we met!

However, after they accessed his port he had another reaction with chills, shaking, fever and headache. The doctors at the medical center felt after they heard our history of the past 3 weeks that his port must be infected in some way even though the blood work didn't show it yet.

They had to send us to a local hospital where they did testing and came to the same conclusion that his port must be infected.

We will go at 7a.m. to the hospital for a procedure to have his port removed. It is an outpatient procedure and we should be finished at the hospital at noon and able to drive to the medical center and resume treatment.

Please be in pray for Mark as it took a lot out of him today and he needs his strength. We are praying that the port is indeed the cause for all of the recent problems.

The weather here is absolutely beautiful and Mark and I both have enjoyed sitting out in the warm sun and soaking up the rays!

We feel the prayer support and cannot convey how much that means to us!

I will update tomorrow evening and let you know how everything went.

With much love and gratitude,

Mark and Lee

Philippians 4:4-7

Rejoice in the Lord always, Again I will say, rejoice!
Let your gentleness be known to all men, the Lord is at hand.
Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to god:
and the peace of God,which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
